As usual, they begin amazingly well. I was riveted last night, and will be again tonight no doubt.
I like the implied Iranian-nuke situation it revolves around.
I also like the fact that Jack has mellowed and really wants out of the game and to live a normal life with his family.
I'll stay tuned.

I saw the pilot for 24 years ago and wasn't wowed. Same thing with Lost. I love Lost now. Should I give 24 another chance (from the beginning of course)? Is there a show it can be compared to?

As a show it is absolutely sui generis. There's nothing else like it. The closest thing I can think of is stuff by Tom Clancy, which it somewhat resembles in tone and atmosphere. |

Renee Walker has turned into a freakin' PSYCHO!!!!
I think i'm in love!
And last season she was such a goodie-two-shoes, until the end of the final episode.
Hmmmm.....I wonder....and this is merely idle speculation on my part...could the character of Renee be in the process of being groomed to some day replace Jack Bauer in the series?

Yeah! That last episode where she did the hand was totally nasty.  Took me completely by surprise. It would be nice if they would get someone to head CTU that isn't a freaking incompetent idiot for a change. But, I guess that just makes for more excitement. |
