I wonder if Sayid is doing this to be with Nadia or the blonde again. All he said is that he held her in his arms.

Good point. The obvious insinuation is Nadia, of course, though the phrasing definitely leaves room for speculation. Plus she is the one he was most recently with, married & has most recently died.
You remind me that I had completely forgotten about Shannon. They brought Boone back for the parallel plane, but I don't remember seeing her. I wonder why.
BTW, have you seen Taken, where the Shannon actress plays Liam Neeson's daughter? Good movie.
