It is by 7 votes that the Congress and Obama have irrevocably altered the United States.
The House of Representatives managed to do what Communist nations were not able to do.
Welcome to the end of the Cold War. It is unfortunate that liberty has lost, and Socialism has won.

The liberals of this "Greatest County on God's Green Earth" (Micheal Medved) just took a 20 gauge shot gun and pointed it at the United States

Unfortunately, I believe that the only way this country can be saved at this point is if we under go an actual revolution. I just hope that if it comes down to that the likes of Pelosi and Reid are tried and hanged. There are two types of people living in the U.S. loyal conservative American and liberal socialist traitors.

What this means, that now with this passed the GOP has a major lynchpin issue they can rally the voters behind come November 2010 and 2012.
Liberals won a battle but not the war. They pretty much had to sacrifice political careers in Congress to get it done. Which means those who voted for this to become law today will not be in office to defend it when the GOP retakes Congress and then the White House.
Trust me they have the public sentiment behind them to repeal or at make some major fixes.
The battle is far from over.

There is little that can be done. It is an entitlement program, just as Medi-cal, Medicare, Social Security. Yopu haven't seen these vast expansions of government and restrictions of liberty disappear have you? The only real hope is the Court overturns the legislation. THe United States ended the day Obama was elected by every fool that voted for the man.

The Supreme Court could overturn it on the basis of the 10th amendment, but it's been violated so many times in the past that I don't see that happening. I say once the Republicans take control of both houses that they use reconciliation to repeal the health care bill.

I can't believe they actually passed it! I am having a surreal feeling and not a good one.

Rainy & dark in our nation's capital today . . . I'm talking so dark that my street lights were on at noon. As an English major, I can find symbolism in anything.

The Liberals in this country are turning father and farther away from God. Not that many of them weren't athiests or secularist to begin with.

Death threats - windows being smashed - coffins placed on people's lawns and other assorted acts of vandalism and harassment against the Democratic legislators who helped get this bill passed. Where does the blame reside? I won't hesitate to point the finger at Rush Limbaugh - at Sean Hannity - at Glenn Beck - at Sarah Palin and other prominent right wing voices on radio and TV (in particular Fox News) who've chosen to fan the flames of hysteria instead of engaging in civilized debate. Nor does the Republican leadership of the House and Senate get a pass - far too slow to speak out against this lunacy and some of them still don't seem all that upset about it. Yet I distinctly recall threads on this very board during the Bush years claiming that the only people who resort to violent or disgusting acts when they don't get their way are those on the left - without exception, conservatives are far too civilized and law abiding for that (yeah, right).

These people are complaining about minor stuff like THAT [most of which are likely the acts of leftist agents provocateurs], while Glenn Beck has to be in constant contact with the FBI because of serious threats to himself and his family and Anne Coulter couldn't speak at the University of Ottawa because a crown of 1000 lefties with clubs and rocks threatened to kill her if she did!! Not to mention the anarchist thugs and socialist hooligans that riot and tear up any city that holds a G20 meeting. Patriots can learn a LOT about REAL violence from lefties and Socialists.

Beans:
You obviously do not listen to Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. If you did, you would have not once heard them advocate violence against anyone. Political defeat? Yes. Physical violence? No.
As for actual acts of violence, if the perps are caught, let them be punished. But take a look at how often protesters at a liberal rally are arrested versus how often those at conservative functions are.
On that basis, it seems that those on the left give the police greater cause to arrest than those on the right.
Or do you plan in denying that?
