NV "tea party": Dem dirty trick? I think so

The first thing that I thought of--the very first thing when I heard that the "tea party squared" in NV is going to run its own candidate, was that, in fact, this is really a party created by the NV Dems/Obama/Reid to save Reid's ass by splitting the conservative vote. Now read this blog entry:

For those of you unaware, a third party called the Tea Party of Nevada just registered with the SOS. I’ve been researching and emailing around ever since, and here is what I’ve come up with so far:

I cannot find any evidence that any of these principals have ever been involved in any Tea Party activities, until now. I’ve emailed a number of Tea Party organizer-activists in the state and so far, nobody has ever heard of any of the principals – except for Barry Levinson because he is a Las Vegas attorney.

Here are some snippets from my research so far:

Barry Levinson was part of the “Bush Lied, People Died” cabal (very strange creds for a Tea Party guy).


Not really core to the story but one of the principals, Larry Lathum, appears to be a 9/11 Truther. A number of sane Tea Partiers emailed me to say they are concerned about credibility and perceptions and are not happy to see Levinson’s and Lathum’s names on that principals list.

These sound far more like the nuts of the left than even the most out-there conservatives. Put this together with the recent report of a possible--I think probable--Carville/Clinton-led drive to target Tea Party leaders personally, and undermine the Tea Party movement generally--the usual sicko tactics of the left, and wholly believable to me--and I strongly think what you're seeing in Nevada is one of those drive's first possible successes.

Nevadans! Do not be suckered into electing a Dem by splitting the conservative vote. The REAL tea party organizers have disavowed "Tea Party Squared," and they sure as hell don't sound like real conservatives to me, not even such nutters as Ron Paulites and Larouchites.

Harry Reid should be toast in November! Don't let the Dems trick you.

By the way, I've often thought that this is one page we should lift from the dirty Dem playbook, and secretly run/finance leftoid third parties in certain states. For example, if we could just siphon off 2-3% from Barbar Boxer in CA, with some lefty party, oh, call it the "Global Warmers" or something, that could be all the difference. She's quite vulnerable, but still likely to win. A fake moonbat candidate running to her left could be just what we need.

I have a lot of respect for the people that involve themselves in this Tea Party movement. Its about damn time that people started making noise about their disgust of big government spending like the world's on fire progressives in the Democrat & Republican parties. However, I really do not feel that there is any need to be registering a "Tea Party" as an actual third party in this country.

Its a movement not a political affiliation. We start recognizing it as something other than just movement you might as well start bringing in the special interest groups and waiting for another election of some monstrosity ideologue bent on corrupting and being corrupted.

I'm actually surprised to see something like this happen and like you Godot feel that the intentions of this are meant rather to infiltrate and mislead the Tea Party movement rather than further it. Last time I checked the Tea Party was about getting the partisan feds out of office and electing representatives and servants of THE PEOPLE regardless of their party identification. This NV thing sounds like a decoy.
